GIPT’s 40th year celebrated by its alumni association

The Alumni association of Government Institute of Printing Technology (GIPT), Secunderabad celebrated the institute’s 40th year in a grand function which also honoured two retiring senior lecturers.

Speaking on the occasion, Dayaker Reddy, president of GIPT Alumni association said that the association has ambitious plans to improve the facilities of the college through help from the industry and to have closer interaction with the industry and to provide some financial assistance to the economically backward students.

C Ravinder Reddy, president of Telangana Offset Printers Association, the chief guest for the event told the audience that ‘the industrial training of six months at the printing units will continue every year for the graduating batches of students.  He also said that All India Federation of Master Printers is giving scholarships to the meritorious printing technology students, details of which will be sent to the colleges every year.’

M Damodar Reddy and C Rama Murthy, senior lecturers of GIPT were also honoured at the event which was well-attended.

Ravindra Babu, general secretary of A P Rashtra Offset Printers Association was the guest of honour was also present.
