Germany-based Marbach notches 90 years with outreach in India

The Germany-based manufacturer, with presence across the globe, marked its 90th anniversary this year. The firm works directly with most printers for their cutting dies and is optimistic about their growth plans in India.

Rajan Nijhawan of Pune-based Trident Packaging Solutions, the sole Indian representative for Karl Marbach GmbH’s die-making materials and machinery, said, “The popularity of Marbach dies and its range of die cutting machines and consumables in the Indian market can be gauged by the continual and repeat orders by top packaging firms like ITC, TCPL, Parksons Packaging, Borkar Packaging, Kumar Printers, and J C Graphics among others.”

Marbach’s most popular and product in India is a premium die for whisky and cigarette boxes. At TCPL, the cigarette box manufacturing comprises a significant percent of thebusiness.

The developments in the recent past at TCPL Packaging, Orient Press, Uflex, Manjushree Technopack and Essel Propack give an optimistic view of India’s packaging segment, which is estimated to be growing at 20-30%, especially in the corrugation and label segment.
