The order includes a NovaCut 106 die-cutting machine, a VisionFold 80 A2 folding and gluing machine, and a WPS1101 rotary window patching and lining machine from Heiber and Schroder, represented by Bobst in India.

The company has also invested in a 2,200 sq/yard site at Manesar in Haryana in a bid to expand its commercial operation and start of the packaging operation.

“We surveyed a few other machines, but approached Bobst for the equipment after our visit to their factory at Pune. We were certain that we are choosing the best machine for the Rs 40-crore packaging project,” said Aman Gulati, director at Galaxy.

Galaxy, which specialises in commercial print, is relying on its existing customers for packaging jobs.

“Our existing customers were demanding packaging jobs on the regular basis. We can say that opportunities were knocking our doors, thus we decided to start a packaging printing plant with all brand new equipments. This packaging printing plant will give us the ability to fulfill our clients’ requirements and grab the increasing opportunities in this segment,” said Gulati.

Gulati’s brothers Amit and Vikas manage the company as directors and are responsible for finance and purchasing, marketing and production respectively. Gulati’s father Satish is the managing director of the company and is the overall incharge of the company.

In addition to the Bobst kit, the company has ordered a Suprasetter 105 CTP, a Heidelberg six-colour press with UV and online coating and other post-press machinery like Stahl folder, Polar cutting machine, Steinemann lamination machine and Indian-make die-cutters among others.
