PrintPack 2017: Futura picks JetVarnish from Konica Minolta stand

Futura offers a complete range of printing services for all type of projects – from a simple black and white document to a complex multi-colour brochure using variable data printing.

The company, which was struggling to deliver variable data finishing with varnish and foil, did a comprehensive market research, testing and analysis to find a solution to the problem. Shivkumar, director at Futura said, “We were happy with the superb quality and precise accuracy of the digital varnish application that JetVarnish 3DS delivered. It was much superior than the traditional methods.”

The finishing capabilities of the JetVarnish 3DS include spot UV, Digital Emboss, and hot foil stamping on up to 3,000 sheets per hour in 30-micron coating thickness. “These capabilities will help our end customers’ product to stand out from the crowd with striking 3D raised effects.

The JetVarnish is equipped with AIS SmartScanner, an artificial intelligence registration technology. “It is the only print registration solution in the world that individually makes adjustments and corrections for each printed sheet. It requires no registration marks and treats each sheet like a separate, unique job. The cost-savings are dramatic. It significantly reduces time-consuming, expensive setup processes and job monitoring work tasks.
