Flint Group announces new ink site in Gujarat

Besides announcing developments in UV flexo technology, Flint announced the setting up of a new site in Savli near Vadodara in Gujarat.

With a growing packaging industry in India, Flint hopes to cater to customers in this market. "We have an ISO 9001-2000 certified mother plant for packaging inks in Bengaluru and blending units in Vadodara, Noida and Savli, supported by depots at Pondicherry, Kolkata, Hyderabad and Navi Mumbai," said Upal Roy, the general manager of Flint Group India.

He continued, "We are proud to be in a position to support the market even further with our new plant in Savli." The plant is currently being built and will meet European standards on processes and safety. It will consist separate areas for the manufacturing of water-based, toluene based and toluene free solvent based inks.

The group introduced Flexocure Force, its latest development in UV flexo technology. Flint is a US based company which is in India since 2001 and has set base in Bengaluru. Its new site for packaging and narrow web inks would soon be operational in Savli.
