The fully loaded EskoArtwork CDI Spark 2530 connecting the existing Suite 10 workflow will be installed at the EPL plant near Mumbai.

M R Ramasamy, president (AMESA and EAP region) for EPL, said, "EskoArtwork's continuous innovation and easy upgrade path has enabled EPL to see them as a seamless pre-production workflow solution provider for over a decade. With the adoption of Esko's CDI across EPL in phases, we expect to raise the quality bar, meeting today's challenging packaging demands and consistently delivering high quality tubes."

EPL, part of the $2.4 billion Essel Group, with a turnover of over $300 million, has a 33% market share in the laminated tube domain. The 2,200-strong company which operates across 12 countries has chosen EskoArtwork's CDI high-definition imaging for flexo, letterpress and dry offset with the unique in-line UV (main exposure) to boost quality and enhance productivity. EPL plans to optimise productivity on their letterpress and dry offset press for lamitubes and co-extruded tubes. Later they will extend the optimisation to their flexo and screen combination press.

EskoArtwork has pursued persistent product developments, like its HD flexo technology, which brings offset quality, 200-line screen flexo printing to convertors worldwide. The off-line plate-loading provides safe, damage-free and distortion-free plate handling throughout the platemaking process.
