Esko is dedicated to solving business issues faced by all stake holders in the packaging line, as they work to meet the needs of a demanding and rapidly changing world of packaging,” said Chris Wallace, account executive PantoneLive for Esko, who was present at the stand.

Among many challenges the brand owners, pre-media companies and packaging converters face are recalls because of packaging misprints or non-regulatory content; long approval cycles, tracability and packaging protection; and remaining sustainable and guaranteeing brand colour consistency on different types of packaging. “Esko solutions tackle each of these challenges,” said Wallace.

Talking to PrintWeek India, he said that the PantoneLive has been adopted by brands like Heinz and P&G for managing their brand colours across the print packaging supply chain. “PantoneLive helps brands manage their brand colour accuracy across the global supply chain, from proof to package to display in a smart and comprehensive manner.

Wallace also explained how the WebCenter works. “WebCenter is a fully-featured online packaging management solution. It ensures content management, shortening approval cycles and regulatory compliances.”

Esko’s other packaging solutions in India include Esko Suite and Esko platesetters for flexo.

Esko has reported installations of 29 CDIs in India, with two more to be installed sometime this month and next, 20 of which are HD flexo systems. In the region, which includes Pakastan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh, Esko has 41 CDI installations, 23 of which are HD flexo systems with Bengaluru’s VeePee becoming the first full HD certified CDI user in Asia.
