Epson launches SureColor T7070

Epson has launched the latest in its series of large format printers, the Epson SureColor T-series at the Ecobuild exhibition, Mumbai.

SureColor T7070 has been designed for engineering scientific applications, CAD documents and architectural design. The machine can produce 110 D-sized plots per hour and has a print resolution up to 2880 x 1440 dpi. Speaking to PrintWeek India, Raajimon Raghavan, Area Head - West, Large Format Printers, Epson India, said, "The accurate dot placement and shape ensures the highest print quality which is extremely useful especially for CAD and architectural documents. We see huge potential in this market and Epson has a fantastic offering which guarantees Epson’s typical superior print quality.”

The machine is equipped with four-color pigment-based ink system and hasa one-inch wide print head with 720 nozzles per color. Raghavan added that, "The SureColor T7070 utilises UltraChrome XD ink which is an extremely durable ink formulation by Epson. The ink is water resistant, rub resistant and ensures best printing performance.”

The machine can handle media with a thickness up to 1.5 mm poster board and can print minimum line thickness of 0.018 mm. The machine can convert up to 780 square feet area in one hour and has a micro piezo printhead.

The Ecobuild show which was held from 16 -18 April 2013 provides marketing platform for suppliers of construction products and services.
