Empower your workforce at monthly SaS seminars

Filling up the void in print workforce training space, the Seekho aur Samjho workshops are gaining traction. On 3 April 2015, SIES institute in Navi Mumbai will host the fourth seminar on paper, which will be conducted by ITC’s Siva Rampur.

The second Seekho aur Samjho (SaS) workshop saw TechNova’s Avinash Kawadkar speak about on-press chemistry

The Seekho aur Samjho workshop has been devised by BMPA in partnership with PrintWeek India, SIES Graduate School of Technology, Navi Mumbai and Government Institute of Printing Technology, Mumbai.

“There is a lack of investment in training of the workforce. It definitely affects productivity. Also, there is no platform for education and skill upgradation of the staff. These monthly training sessions offer a great opportunity for employers to promote learning for their employees,” said Faheem Agboatwala, president, BMPA.

Started in January 2015, this training programme has had three sessions on colour measurement, on-press chemistry and bookbinding. All the three sessions, which were conducted in Hindi, saw the participation of more than 50 shopfloor personnel and 50 printing students.

The calendar for 2015 is in place (as in the table below). Agboatwala has requested the print CEOs to avail the benefits of this initiative by registering their staff members for this session.
