Earlier, Ashok Dhall, proprietor of Manav Enterprises, said, if a customer demanded quality print, the company used to outsource the print production to a nearby facility, which has a Komori kit. “This experience of getting quality print in a Komori machine boosted our confidence and finally we decided to investment in a Komori ourselves,” Dhall said.

The company caters to both commercial and books markets. According to Dhall, the company’s quality parameter is simple: The print buyer must be satisfied. “We always adhere to this,” he added.

Next in the agenda is an investment in pre-press equipment. Right now, Manav consumes around 1,600 plates per month, all of which are outsourced. “Most of our customers are price-sensitive. So, if a customer needs economic price, we use CTCP plates. If a customer wants quality and is ready to pay for it, we use thermal plates,” Dhall explained.

With Dhall’s son Manav, a management graduate from Amity University, joining the business, the company on an average prints 30 sets of around 1,000 sheets in 12-hour shifts. “We are in short-run market,” Dhall said, “However, five to six times in a month we do print jobs of more than one lakh print run.”
