Dainik Bhaskar was awarded a silver for outdoor activation done for the Bhaskarmay Simhastha campaign. No bronze or gold award was given in this category.
The company was also awarded a bronze in the prestigious ‘Campaign of the Year’ category for its Swatantra Vichaar campaign implemented in Maharashtra.
The Swatantra Vichaar campaign was based on the idea that only Divya Marathi, an unbiased and objective newspaper, can empower its readers to think in an independent manner. The six-month integrated campaign with the tagline ‘Swatantra Padho Swatantra Socho’ (Read Independent, Think Independent) was amplified through print ads, edit notes and OOH media.
During Simhastha, the world’s largest congregation held once in 12 years, Dainik Bhaskar organised the biggest ever Maha Arti (prayer ceremony) and Maha Yatra (mass procession). This was implemented a month prior to Simhastha in Ujjain that generated high visibility and was able to make very strong and personal bonds with its readers. This was followed by a two-month comprehensive on ground-visibility activation.

The Outdoor Advertising Convention (OAC) award honours creativity, innovation and media planning in OOH advertising space. OAC is India’s foremost OOH industry platform attended by India’s specialist OOH agencies, brand marketers, civic authorities, media agencies, printers and senior OOH industry professionals.
