Creative Print & Pack installs a pre-owned Heidelberg six-colour plus coater

Kondaiah Chowdary, the CEO of Creative Print & Pack, said, it was getting to a point where we were starting to face production bottleneck. “The almost new Heidelberg press has become that synergistic fit, which has helped us streamline the process. We are already beginning to experience a boost in both productivity and performance.”

The startup, which outsourced printing jobs before installing the press, is also an ISO 9001:2008 certified company. The company is equipped with machines for converting machines like folder-gluer, die-cutter and laminating machine among others. The company’s clientele includes Izod, Levis, Puma, Rockstar, Superdry and Van Heusen among the upscale brands.

According to Chowdary, the Speedmaster CD 102 can handle a wide array of substrates from 0.03mm paper to 1mm thick cardboard, while the high capacity inking unit ensures stable inking through the entire production run, promoting consistent and excellent print quality. “We have strengthened our professional offerings and are looking forward to expanding our client based to stay on top of the game.”

The Speedmaster CD 102 features the AutoPlate system for fast plate changes and shorter makeready times, while the Air Transfer System supports contact-free sheet travel. The press can haul up a speed of up to 15,000 sheets per hour.

Vemula Chakrapani, the regional sales manager at Heidelberg, said, the special and unique UV coating unit of the Speedmaster CD 102 is fitted with a chambered blade system to meet the most exacting coating requirements and rigorous finishing standards. “This makes the press a top pick among packaging printers in India. Highly energy efficient, the CD 102 slices energy consumption costs significantly and is recognized as one of the most eco-friendly presses in its class.”

Heidelberg has sold more than 50,000 units of the Speedmaster CD 102 worldwide, so far. “That makes the CD 102, one of the most popular machines in the 70X100 printing format. The compelling price/performance ratio is a competitive differentiator,” said Saseendran Baskaran, general manager for press and post-press products at Heidelberg.
