The Braillemaker One has been commissioned at the leading European label printing company Reynders Label Printing India based in Chopanki Industrial Area, Chopanki, Bhiwadi in Rajasthan.

The machine has been supplied by Convertec’s Indian agent Creed Engineers based in Gurgaon, Delhi NCR.

The digital printing and inspection machine will meet the requirement for Braille printing of pharmaceutical products exported from India by one of the leading exporters of pharmaceutical products to Europe.

Ranesh Bajaj, director marketing at Creed Engineers said: "Braillemaker One is a highly flexible and versatile press to adapt to different substrates and different profiles (from flat labels to curved booklets) without loss of accuracy. The machine runs at speeds of 35m/min.

12 international Braille languages can be printed with the specially formulated varnish, and to ensure accuracy, the machine can be linked to an internet based translation facility, which converts text to Braille within minutes. This absolves the operator of all responsibility for dot error."

The latest Braillemaker One comes with new X-Tend2 software suite with touch screen control. The machine is available in two web widths, 150mm and 335mm, the smaller being for single stream labels while the wider machine can handle larger layouts.

"Braillemaker comes as standard with three print heads, each of which is individually controlled, and there is an option for almost unlimited upgrades. It uses the internationally accepted Marburg font for the dots, which Braillemaker can print in three sizes by a simple adjustment. The machine is designed to print on plain labels, leaflets for cartons, booklets and multi-ply pharmaceutical labels," said Neeraj Sharma, general manager, machines sales at Creed Engineers.
