Conference themed around print’s future through technology and innovation

NPES, ICC and BMPA will host the Print Business Outlook Conference 2016 on 15 March 2016 at The Westin Mumbai Garden City in Mumbai.

The day-long conference themed around the topic “Creating future print through technology and innovation”, will explore strategies for harnessing challenges and opportunities in a rapidly changing global print technology landscape. Top industry experts are set to engage participants in lively discussion.
 
According to NPES, the association for suppliers of printing and converting technologies, designed to examine the advantages of digital printing and manufacturing in a changing industry.
 
NPES expects over 250 printers, publishers, manufacturers and suppliers to be in attendance.
 
BMPA’s president Faheem Agboatwala, said, print is evolving and the BMPA’s idea behind joining hands with NPES and ICC, is to promote awareness of current and impending changes 
 
Agboatwala added, "While not only giving our members insight into the future of print, we are also pleased to bring this carefully curated conference and sold-out event to the attention and benefit of the print fraternity worldwide."
 
Among those who will speak are Marco Boer, vice president, IT Strategies; William Li, ICC co-chair and color technology manager, Kodak; Steve Smiley, president, Smiley Color & Associates Global Brand Solutions; Juergen Seitz, senior technical advisor, GMG; Elie Khoury, president, Alwan Color Expertise; Phil Green, professor of colour imaging at the Colour and Visual Computing Laboratory, Gjøvik University College, Norway.
 
According to William Li, International Color Consortium (ICC) co-chair and color technology manager, Kodak, in a world where everyone competes equally on price and time to market, colour is the way to differentiate your printed product from the rest of the pack. “Interestingly, it turns out that taking the journey to improve your colour quality also improves your bottom line and your time to market. The conference is supported by the All Indian Federation of Master Printers Association (AIFMP), the Indian Printing, Packaging and Allied Machinery Manufacturers' Association (IPAMA) and PRIMIR, the print industries market information and research organisation, the research unit of NPES.
