Colour conference at PrintPack to have 20+ speakers

On the sidelines of PrintPack 2015 being held at Greater Noida, NPES has set stage for serious deliberation on the latest trends of ICC colour management and its applications in different areas.

NPES, together with the International Color Consortium (ICC) and the Indian Printing, Packaging and Allied Machinery Manufacturers’ Association (IPAMA), will host the conference under the theme, “Manufacturing success with color management” on 12 February, 2015 at the India Expo Centre, Greater Noida.

The one-day conference is supported by leading names of the industry such as EFI, Konica Minolta, Quadtech, Alwan, BenQ, GMG, HP, Kodak and Toyo Ink.

The three-part conference will see reknowned colour management experts share their first hand knowledge and solutions to the ongoing challenges in the global print market.
 
Major topics to be discussed at the conference include; Business of colour management, speakers for this part being, William Li, ICC co-chair and Kodak colour technology manager speak on the role and overview of the ICC organisation; 
Steve Smiley of Smiley Color & Associates Global Brand Solutions, a G7 Expert on standards for specifying print;

Greg Wuenstel, product manager, Quadtech on the ROI of automating colour management on press, for packaging printers and Pancham Kumar of EFI will present the features and importance of different colour Tools for customer success.

Implementation of colour management, a power-packed second session will host presentations from, Bob Hallam, PIXELOLOGIE, Katsuji Kondo, a colour expert from Konica Minolta and Elie Khoury, president, Alwan Color followed by a panel discussion on real world applications of ICC colour management.

The final session in the conference will talk not only about how GCR methods can be implemented, but also some of the issues that needs to be observed in doing the implementation. The panelists for this session include,
