Chhattisgarh Printers Association conducts GST awareness drive

The Chhattisgarh Printers Association (CPA) conducted GST awareness meet wherein upper commissioner, department of sales tax, KR Jharia explained the nuances of GST to over 60 participants.

CPA secretary Kirat Saluja, said, “There’s lack of awareness and the small print businesses are struggling to unravel the complexities of the revamped tax structure. The objective of the meet is to provide insights into the various provisions of GST law, rules, regulations and procedures.”
 
Continuing the awareness drive, the association organised he second GST sessions with tax consultant Gopal Krishna Tawniya, advocate, Jain & Company. 
 
"In this session, Tawniya discussed procedural nuances of GST like how to imply the GST in the pre-GST bills, how to include and explain the customers about the difference in payment, etc."

“The idea is to create a platform for the association members to address apprehensions of the print CEOs. This interactive session aims to provide an opportunity to clear the doubts of the participants in critical areas of the GST implementation including on the problems of switch-overs from the existing model to new GST models, transfer of credits and tax brackets,” said Saluja.
