CEO and top industry experts to attend packaging conference on 26 and 27 November

The number of delegates who shall attend the Indo-German conference is rising. The conference which will be held on 26-27 November at the Novotel Hotel in Mumbai.

The second edition is organised by pmIndia which is a joint venture of Institute for Print and Media Technology and Chemnitz University of Technology, Chemnitz, Germany and Graphic Arts Technology and Education (GATE).

The directors, senior executives, managing directors and the CEO's of top print companies have registered for the conference which will discuss technology trends and developments in packaging printing.

The special feature of the conference will be a 'print gallery' exhibiting sample prints. The conference will discuss brand protection technology, added value UV using technology, developments in flexography, inkjet technology for packaging printing.

Kiran Prayagi is the organiser of the conference; and head of pmIndia and GATE said: "The consumption in Asia has huge potential which puts great demands on packaging printing. Our industry is facing new challenges in reproduction processes to produce high-quality on various substrates using different printing and finishing processes.

The conference serves the purpose to come up with various ways to look at this situation."

The conference has confirmed a list of 16 top speakers. Presentations will be made by the key speakers: professor and doctor Ing Arved Hubler, director, pmTUC, Chemnitz, Germany; Guenther Keppler, general manager, Heidelberg India; Venugopal Menon, vice president, Bobst India; Rajesh Singh, general manager R&D, Positive Packaging among others.

Dr Gert Schlegel, Institute for Drucktechnology, Switzerland will speak about the role of inkjet in packaging printing.

Like the first edition, the official media partner for the conference is PrintWeek India. The conference is supported by Federal Ministry of Education and Research along with Research in Germany.
