Canon expects Rs 30 cr wide-format business with Monotech by 2015

Canon India has joined hands with Monotech Systems for its wide format printing business.

Alok Bharadwaj, executive vice president, Canon India, said, “Wide-format printing market is growing in India and Canon foresees this as a huge business opportunity. We decided to further extend our relationship with Monotech owing to their pan India presence, strong technical support and sales team and the option of multi-location billing.  We look forward to a more enriching business with Monotech as a partner who would bring business worth Rs. 30-crore by 2015. Canon plans to expand its graphic business further and with Monotech’s wide reach and support we will be able to explore new markets.”

Monotech already has a partnership with Canon since last four years and is specifically handling ImagePrograf business. Now, Monotech will be able to sell and service Oce Arizona and Oce Technical documents systems products also.

TP Jain, managing director, Monotech Systems, said, “We are happy to leverage Canon's expertise in the wide-format printing and display graphics business. We have now formed a new SBU (Strategic Business Unit) within Monotech to focus on Canon Oce product range and we expect this SBU to contribute significantly to our business turnover in the next few years. With our domain knowledge, strong sales and technical support expertise we will be able to help Canon spread its business across the country. This will also be a learning opportunity for Monotech as we enter a new phase of selling Canon IPF, Oce Arizona and Oce TDS products.”

Monotech is the national partner for Canon for the wide-format products in India and currently the only partner to sell and service Oce range of products.

The range will include products  - Arizona 318, 440, 460, 480, 550; Plotwave 350, TDS 750, Colourwave 650 and 300; ImagePrograf 605, 650, 750, 760, 755, 765, 6300, 6300S, 410, 815, 825, 8300, 8300S, 8410, 9410 and 9410S.
