Taking pride of place on its stand (Hall 10/stand A04) are the new Fischer & Krecke 20SIX flexo press equipped with SmartGPS version; the Expertcut 106 PER die-cutter which boasts seven new features, including the new Smart Feeder II; and the upgraded Masterfold 110-A3.

At Drupa, the company is also giving the Expertfoil 142, which the company claimed was  the only dedicated foil stamping press available in BO format, a world premiere. Bobst also outlined its vision for developing digital solutions in packaging.

“Bobst has been working on providing digital solutions, laser cutting or digital printing, for the past eight to ten years. However, Bobst will not come into the market with a toy. We have in our lab a test machine for corrugated and folding carton sheet machine, which is water-based ink and not UV ink,” said chief executive Jean Pascal Bobst.

The company expects the prototype to be ready by next summer. Bobst Group has also unveiled a new Group strategy at the show, which according to the company reflects its corporate focus and mission, which will result in its sub brands being united under one brand: Bobst.

Describing Bobst’s presence at Drupa, Jean Pascal Bobst said “Our vision, new logo and group strategy shows the transformation that has been underway since 2010 to make us a more market-driven, customer-centric company that is focussed on helping our customers succeed in their markets.”
