The Novacut 106E die-cutter, is the second such Bobst machine installed at Sai Packaging’s Bengaluru plant.

According to Venugopal Menon, vice president for BU sheetfed - Indian Subcontinent at Bobst, the machine ran eight-up layout jobs with inline stripping at 7,500 impressions per hour. “We learned that Sai on an average runs 10-12 job changeovers per day on the die-cutters and still achieve production of close to 70,000 sheets per day,” said Menon. This according to him was possible due to the many features available on the Bobst machine. “Quick changeovers and consistent production with less stoppage are some of the highlights of the machine,” said Menon.

Sai Packaging is one of leading folding carton converting companies with operation in both North Indian and South India and have six Bobst converting machines installed at its plants. Arvind Sekhar, director at Sai Packaging remarked that with Bobst post-press machines have helped the company over the years to be more cost effective and also service their demanding customers ‘Just In Time’.
