Bobst’s handshake deals, set to host Open House in February 2018

Bobst has concluded hand-shake deals for sale of five machines.

Puneet Agarwal, national sales head, folding carton, Indian subcontinent, Bobst, who was at Pamex informed PrintWeek India that the five machines – four are Bobst folder-gluer, one ExpertFold and one die-cutter. The Bobst folder-gluer can process both duplex and micro-flute ply.

“We were in touch with these customers. They were confused between the Bobst and alternate solutions, which are available in the market at lucrative prices. But after visiting Pamex and examining the technologies, they have reposed confidence in the Bobst technology,” said Agarwal.

The deal, Agarwal, said will be confirmed in the next ten day, but declined to name the customers. “All I can say is that the five customers are from the South and West India.”

Bobst is not participating at the Pamex. Agarwal said, “We participated in PrintPack India early this year, and have put in our resources in the Bobst two-day Open House being hosted in February 2018.”

The two day Bobst Open House event will be hosted on 22-23 February, where live demonstrations of the capabilities of the Bobst machine will be shown. Sub-suppliers to the packaging and converting industry will also be present in a separate hall during the event. “It’s an event where the participants can engage with, glue suppliers, makeready material suppliers, other allied suppliers, and finance companies, all under one roof,” he said.

The last event in 2015 saw 150 packaging players participate. “This time we expect more than 200 to participate,” concluded Agarwal.
