This is the fifth Mark Andy press in the label printing firm.

The machines are supplied by Delhi-based Flexo Image Graphics, the Indian representative for Mark Andy and Rotoflex.

Prasanna Sahu, director at Barcom Industries, said: “We have had good experience with Mark Andy. We are already using four Mark Andy presses which are running at full capacity. We felt the need of one more press to cater the increasing load of work.”

Shital Mishra of Flexo Image Graphics said: “This is the second P5 press in the country and Barcom has invested in a full UV and Servo press. The press has a  speed of up to 750 feet per minute and has an in-line rotary die-cutting station.”

Reasoning the investment in Rotoflex VST, Sahu said: “The investment is an addition to the already existing inspection system. We intend to reduce the bottlenecks in the post-press printing department with the duo."

Established in 2002, Barcom began its journey as a trading company and installed its first Mark Andy 830 press in 2004. In 2006, the label printing firm invested in the seven-colour Mark Andy Scout. The company continued its investment with Mark Andy six-colour 2200 press in 2009 and 2010.

The company plans to invest in an additional Mark Andy P-series press in 2012.
