Avantika ups ante with India's first Canon C7010: to produce one-lakh prints per day

Delhi-based digital specialist Avantika Printers has installed a Canon C7010s, the first of the newly launched machine in India, to meet increasing demand for digital print. This is also the third Canon digital press that adorns the Avantika print floor, the other two being the C7000 colour digital press and the 1135 mono press.

Himanshu Pandey, director at Avantika, said: "The 7010s has its own advantages. Now we can print on light and medium texture media. We have been running the digital printing press for the last 45 days and have already printed around 80,000 sheets with good results."
 
Avantika’s services include: content, design and layout; printing of stationery, magazines, marketing and publicity collaterals, books, personalised calendars, invitation cards, fabrication and packaging and wide-format printing among others.

The Canon dominated digital press floor also houses a mono Xerox digital printer for single-colour work, a screen printing facility and a complete facility for post-press.

M N Pandey, the senior director of the firm and father of Himanshu, said: "Upgrading our technology to the latest is a continual process for us; it was needed to meet the new market requirements."

He added: "The new Canon Imagepress 7010s has upgraded features like print up to 325 gsm paper, increased capacity of cooling system of the machine, satisfactory texture media, toner deposition, increased RIP speed, lower click charges and colour consistency."

With a clientele that boasts of corporates like: CBI, Canon, Discovery Channel and Cairns among others, With the Canon 7010s, Avantika is aiming to up its print capacity to one and half lakh impressions per month.
