Mohit Jain, director at Anil Agencies, said, “There is a huge market out there for rigid boxes in India. On our radar are wedding gift boxes, sweet boxes, garment boxes and other kind of box manufacturers. At present many rigid box manufacturers in the country use Chinese machines to meet their demand. We see our machines replace these Chinese machines in the next four to five years, because of the sheer quality of Emmeci machine.”

Italy-based Emmeci produces more than 80 machines a year. Emmeci has two lines of rigid box making machines – mechanical and mechatronic. The machine on display at PrintPack India 2013 can produce 2,200 boxes an hour using board thickness from 0.7mm to 4mm. According to the company, the machine can be run by a single operator.

Talking about business strategy, Jain said that entering into rigid box-making machine business is “improvemental”. He said, “We are a dealer of Ballarpur boards and many other European board manufacturing companies. One customer buys many things and having a vast portfolio of products means bring more to the table of our customers,” he concluded.
