Alpna establishes new manufacturing facility

Alpna produces M-Cure retrofit UV solutions, smart coat anilox coaters, LED UV systems, Eagle series high speed roller coater lines and full range of UV solutions. It also provides complete solutions for screen printing equipment and represents ATOM, screen printing machines in India.

Vijay Kumar Aggarwal of Alpna, said, “The new production facility is a step to serve our customers faster. With this, we will be able to reduce the delivery time around 75% compared to the earlier rented set up.”

Alpna has been at the forefront of UV curing related innovations specially in print enhancement with many first to its credit. Offline drip-off coatings servo driven retrofit anilox module for offsets and several other new technologies.

The company is working on certifications like ISO and CE towards the standardization with the new plant.

Aggarwal said the company manufactures around ten machines per month at its facility. “We have an in-house designing team. Our lead time has reduced to 50%. We have a team of more than ten service engineers. We can retrofit most type of sheet-fed printing presses, whatever the brand and configuration is,” he said.

Alpna added that in the new facility, the machines components are now being manufactured through a computer numerical control (CNC) machine which offers high precision. “We did not install the CNC machine earlier because we did not have sufficient volume for the process,” he said.

Alpna has installed more than 1,500 machines so far and around 70% customers are from sheetfed offset segment. “Most of our customers have purchased more than one machine from us. These repeat orders show the belief the customers have in our products,” Agarwal said.

Parksons Graphics, Khemka Container, Kumar Printers, HBD Packaging, Nutech Packaging, Pragati Press, Edelmann Packaging, VK Box Industries, Lustra Print Process, Apple Print Pack are few of the repeat customers of Alpna.
