Ahmedabad’s Caterpillar Signs installs EFI Vutek UV LED printer

Ahmedabad’s wide-format specialist Caterpillar has installed an EFI Vutek GS 3250LX Pro, a 10-colour UV LED curing inkjet printer. The machine was supplied and set-up by Arrow Digital, EFI’s representative in India.

Nishant Shah, CEO at Caterpillar, said, the new EFI printer has enhanced his company’s wide-format capabilities and “green credentials. “It uses an advanced LED printing technology which consumes less energy and is more environment-friendly. There is virtually no VOC element plus no recurring lamp cost.”

Caterpillar has an international client base, which Shah said, demands quality, and on-time delivery. “The hybrid print bed 3.2-meter wide printer delivers 2,400 sq/ft print per hour which speeds up production, while the 1000dpi output delivers highest quality prints.”

The other features of the eight-colour plus two white printer include a switch to Fast-5 for high productivity, and the ability to print on varied substrates like rigid material. “This will help us meet our client’s demand for various application as well as open up more markets,” said Shah.
