Adobe launches Creative Suite 6 in Mumbai

Adobe Systems which announced the development of Adobe Creative Suite 6 (CS6) in April 2012, unveiled its Creative Suite 6 (CS6) product line in a road show organised at Jamshed Bhabha Theatre in Mumbai on 19 June.

The road show in Mumbai marked the beginning of multi-city road shows which will be carried out across 90 cities in Asia Pacific region.

Srihari Palangala, country marketing manager, Adobe Systems said, "We are glad to kick-start the Adobe CS6 road show in Mumbai. It is a major new release of Adobe's creative desktop tools, with huge improvements for all types of creative professionals."

Palangala added, “As per the FICCI-KPMG 2012 report, the Indian media and entertainment industry grew by 12% in 2011 and is expected to go up to 15% in next five years. The launch of CS6 is significant for the growing industry.”

This is the latest suite for design, web and video professionals. It includes 600 new features, 14 CS6 applications and four creative suites: Adobe CS 6 Design and Web Premium, Adobe CS 6 Design Standard, Adobe CS 6 Production Premium and Adobe CS 6 Master Collection. Adobe InDesign CS6 offers support for ten Indian languages: Hindi, Marathi, Gujarati, Tamil, Punjabi, Bengali, Telugu, Oriya, Malayalam, and Kannada. This will help the regional Indian publishers to work in these regional languages.

Umang Bedi, managing director- South Asia, Adobe Systems said, "The inclusion of Indian language support is an important milestone for the regional print and publishing industry in India."

The Mumbai road show received an overwhelming participation from over 1200 creative professionals including design and print digital imaging professionals, cross-media designers, web-developers, videographers and VFX artists.
