3M announces the UL recognition

In the show 3M announced that its industrial adhesives and tapes division has obtained UL recognition for product security and identification solutions that combine the core range of UL recognised 3M label stock materials with five of the leading digital UV inkjet label printers and ink systems.

Deviyani Chitambar, product manager converter markets at 3M India, said: "High durability of UV inks and high quality print capability is important for label converters who often need to supply product identification labels as UL or CUL recognised components for labeling of consumer electronic equipment, cellular communication equipment, garden equipment, and power tools, wherein all cases the label identification system must be durable for the lifetime of the product."

Meanwhile, 3M India has announced its financial results for the year ended 31 March 2011. As per the results, the total turnover for 12 months was Rs 1,176-crore with profit of Rs 99-crore.

3M’s global sale for the year end 2010 was 27 billion dollars of which 17.5 billion dollars was non-US sales.

3M India has more than 1,800 staff and more than 7,000 products are sold in India.
