21st century printing is Romancing Print 2015 conference theme

Romancing Print 2015 will hit the theme – 21st century printing, as it will draw attention to many questions that the fast developments in print technology pose.

The All India Federation for Master Printers (AIFMP) hosted two-day Romancing Print 2015 will be held on 24 and 25 February, 2015 in collaboration with the Department of Printing Technology, Guru Jambheshwar University of Science & Technology, Hisar in Haryana, also the venue for the conference.

“Technology is evolving, and is evolving fast, which is making it difficult to foresee where the world of printing market is heading towards,” said Dev Nair, president AIFMP. “There are many questions which need to be pondered on: Print's survival in the Internet onslaught, and surviving the increasingly competitive global market are just two​.”

Kamal Chopra, chairman, international relations at AIFMP, claimed that the first ever international print research conference in India will see technologists and print pundits from across the globe present future trends in printing and packaging industry. They include: Sidney Bobb, chairman BAPC UK; Wang Yongsheng, vice chancellor of Beijing Institute of Graphic Communication, China; Yen Chen, president, China Print Academy; Beatrice Klause, secretary general, Intergraf (Europe); Håvard Grjotheim, CEO 07 Media and president, Intergraf, Norway.

Besides, Frank Romano, print expert and the professor emeritus, Rochester Institute of Printing (RIT), USA has consented to send the key-note address and research papers on the subject.

Chopra said, “Innovative business models pave the way for a secure future. At this must attend Romancing Print conference, these experts will share their views and insights on how to withstand the challenges technology and competition pose to the print business.
