The kit which was launched at PrintPack India earlier this year is aimed at the packaging industry which, accordingly to Sheth Printograph, majorly uses metalised polyester films for cartons.

Though the company is already offering BOPP sheet separation machine, it introduced the hot knife separation method, which works both online as well offline with auto feeder laminating machine.

“The hot knife sheet separator is an advance technology cutting mechanism for overlapped laminated sheets with polyester films at high speeds of 70m/min. The main function of the machine is to gauge the point of overlap for precise cutting. The in-line machine is equipped with large drying drum with heaters for curing the film before lamination,” said Neeraj Sheth of Sheth Printograph.

The new Nano 2SM in addition to doing the back lamination, is also capable of inline embossing for desired designs/textures.  “The existing Nano 2S is already being used in the digital colour labs in India. With the feedback of our existing customer, we have developed the inline double-side embossing machine, which can achieve matt photographic paper effect as well as thermal lamination on both sides,” said Sheth.

He added, “Today, each customer demands automation owing to ever increasing labour costs and their problems; plus now our customers customers have become more quality conscious. Everyone is looking for something “different” to be able to play as a leader in the industry and pick on the first mover advantage. We foresee the future trend and therefore incorporate automation and new applications in our machines.”
