According to the company, Gidue digital flexo technology dramatically improves set-up time and waste performances. "As a matter of fact," the company said in a statement issued to the press, "The digital flexo configuration, guarantees a digital control on printing pressure and register. An HD digital camera, combined with seven servomotors, is located on each print unit and monitors the printing pressure and register at each plate revolution. Whenever those values deviate from the PDF standards, the digital camera informs the servo motors which immediately adjust the printing pressure and register to the highest PDF quality. The result is a constant digital control on each print unit, from initial set-up to the very end of the printing job, which guarantees a digital quality control on the entire job.

Steven Fan, managing director of Gidue China, talking about the market in China during the recent installation of its new M5 press at Suzhou Industrial Park Tianjie Printing, said: “Our presence in China is established since many years and we count several Gidue installations at many famous label converters. Suzhou Tianjie is producing some of the most sophisticated, beautiful labels we have ever seen in our country, and we are very proud of our partnership with them. Their manufacturing quality will help the whole Chinese Label industry.”

"Digital flexo technology also assures a digital set-up waste (on an eight-colour job less than 10 metres) and digitally predictable costs/profits. This digital intelligence replaces the operator during most of the basic set-up operations: the press automatically adjusts its pressure and register, while the operator can focus on top printing quality and fast productivity," he added.

The M3 digital flexo press can handle self-adhesive labels, 15 micrometer unsupported PET, 20 micrometer BOPP, 38 micrometer BOPP for mineral water, all shrink sleeves, laminated tubes and up to 350 gsm carton.
