[China Print 2013]: HP announces winners of Print Excellence Awards

HP has announced the winners of the HP Print Excellence Awards at an event hosted on 11 May 2013 in Beijing.

The sixth edition of HP Print Excellence Awards, Asia Pacific and Japan, for HP Indigo, and the fourth for HP Sign and Display recognises excellence in print through innovation and creativity in labels and packaging; signage and commercial printing categories. Applications produced on HP Scitex industrial printers and presses and Indigo digital presses were considered for the awards in 25 categories.

Among 300 entries from printing companies across 14 countries from Asia Pacific and Japan, 55 entries successfully bagged awards in different categories, 13 of which were Indian entries (read news on Indian winners).

At the Awards event held in conjunction with Dscoop Asia, Gido van Praag, vice president and general manager, Graphics Solutions Business, HP Asia Pacific and Japan, said, “Printing companies are constantly challenged by customers to deliver creative work within short timeline.”  He added, “The HP Print Excellence Awards, Asia Pacific and Japan, provides a platform to share best practices that have helped our customers make a successful impact.”

The annual competition, held in the Asia Pacific and Japan, is part of the worldwide HP Print Excellence Awards 2013. Similar regional competitions are being held in Latin America and Europe, Middle East, Africa (EMEA).
