It’s a perfect 10 for Bobst India with a raft of post-press orders

Bobst (Hall 10 / Stand A41) has booked ten post-finishing machines for the Indian market at the mid-way through the show.

The bookings comprise of a Novacut 106 die-cutting machine, three Expertcut 106 die-cutters with power register, five Expertfold folder gluers, three Accubraille GT equipped with Accucheck for quality control and inspection, and an Ambition folder-gluing machine.

Venugopal Menon, vice president at Bobst India, said, “With the confirmed orders for the Accubraille GT, India will be the second biggest country after Germany to get orders for the Accubraille.”

The Accubraille unit, which can be fitted onto Bobst mid-to high-range carton folder-gluers, alleviates a number of known difficulties in Braille embossing using a die-cutter. These include: the difficulty of setting and maintaining good Braille dot embossing on a die-cutter; the die-cutter’s restriction on embossing no closer than 5mm to a cut or crease line; and the problems caused at the folder-gluer feeder when fed Braille embossed blanks.

Half-way through the Drupa show, and already more than 150 Indian print CEOs have visited the stall. Menon said, “90% were very focused and serious buyers. The focus has been on packaging and digital printing solutions and to address this we will be launching digital print solutions for the corrugated board segment in the summer of 2013.”

Bobst is showcasing a wide range of products at its stand. This includes the SL 1000 solventless duplex laminator, CL 850 laminator, Fischer & Krecke 20 CI flexo press, Rotomec presses, Expertcut 106 PER die-cutter, Commercial 106 die-cutter and Breaker flat track peripheral.
