This is my second visit to the Labelexpo India, earlier I visited in 2008. It looks a good show as all the top guys are here including machine manufacturers, suppliers and few end users also.

We came here to meet our customers and met more than ten in couple of hours. I would like to say that it is a good show for end users as well; and it may be that we will also participate in the next edition of the exhibition to make end users more familiar with labels. There is now harm in to make brand values for the end users also and to add grace to the show also.

There must be a separate show for end users also. It is a show for suppliers and manufacturers for label printing industry to call their customers and show them the new technologies and trends. It does not make sense to mix up two shows.

I am missing separate meeting rooms here, as we had at Drupa, technical seminars, conferences and panels to discuss the future of the industry under one roof.

India is a market for combine technologies including offset, flexo, digital and others. So digitisation will not take place very fast and the cost of digitisation is too high against the cost of customisation. Yes, ten years down the line we will see a lot of digital printing presses for labels also.
