Describe the company?
The firm started off as Radiant Graphics, a repro house, in 1998. It diversified into offset printing in 2000 under the aegis of Aar Vee Printers. The firm recently entered the growing Indian retail market by introducing the English Premier league print merchandise – and distributing print products through its organised retail store chains

What does the machine do?
Most of our print jobs for popular football clubs around the globe are printed on the Lithrone S29.

Why did you choose this particular machine?
We opted for Lithrone S29 because of its quality, consistency, performance and quick makeready.

Did you look at any other similar machines?
Yes, we did look for other similar presses.  We installed the first Lithrone in North India. The main reason we opted for Lithrone was its sheet size.

Why did you make this purchase?
Besides the print quality, it was the most economical package in the segment at that point of time.

What features do you particular like?
There are features like quality, consistency, quick makeready, paper size, low cost production, lower consumption of inks and chemicals, paper automation and others.

Is there anything that you dislike?
No, there is nothing to dislike. We are happy with performance and that’s why we have ordered for more Komori presses for our operations. However, increasing value of the Japanese Yen, is a concern.

How fast is it?
Komori claims 16,500 sheets per hour, but then you need ideal conditions to run the printing press at that speed. And maintaining such ideal printing conditions is not an easy task. The average print run we achieved is anything between 7,000 to 8,000 impressions per hour.

How reliable is it?
Yes, it is reliable enough. After all it is a machine. It needs timely maintenance and service.

What’s the quality like?
The machine has given us the best result. We print jobs, which are exported to United Kingdom and other European countries. The quality parameters in these countries are quite high and our prints match those parameters.

How easy is it to use?
It is user friendly. There are ten buttons on the machines and on an average you need only two operators to run the machine.

Has it won you any new work?
Yes it has. We print works for art galleries in Delhi and Mumbai and calendars for the export market.

Would you say that it offers value for money?
Yes, definitely.

Were there any difficulties experienced during the installation or after?
No, there were no problems as such because we did our homework and planned everything in advance.

What about the pre- and after-sale service?
Insight has been providing good services since the time we started our association with this purchase.  We are satisfied.

Who do you think the machine is right for?
It’s an ideal press for printers who carry out commercial as well as publishing works.

Under what circumstances would you buy another?
We have already placed purchase orders for installation of two more Komori printing presses, both are armed with HUV technology.
