What does the machine do?
The machine produces digital prints on different substrates for multiple applications like brochures, menu cards, invites, certificates and business cards.

Why did you choose this particular machine?
For its offset mode printing, this is pretty good. Also the ability of the printer to print on sizes of up to 13x19inches.

Did you look at any other similar machines?
Yes, we did take a look at Xerox and it was  an option we seriously thought about.

Why did you make the purchase?
We had contemplated expanding our scope of work, from being a mere studio to a printing solution provider. The machine has given a boost to our capability and enabled us to do innovative designs specifically for short-run. It has made our move into digital arena smooth and seamless.

Is there anything that you dislike?
There is nothing to dislike.

Is there anything that you wish it had that it doesn’t?
I wish it had the ability to UV coat.

How fast is it?
Sufficiently fast. It has a production speed of 60 ppm, which works well for us.

What’s the quality like?
It has exceptional image quality.

How reliable is it?
Very reliable. It’s advanced feed detection system has ensured that our operations are completed without interruption.

How easy is it to use?
Our team has mastered the operations quite easily.

How much time or money has it saved?
Since its installation, a year ago, we have seen reasonable saving in time as well as money. The jobs which were outsourced are now being done in-house.

Has it won you any new work?
Of course, it has. As mentioned earlier, our business has expanded in the short-run category where smaller quantities are required. We found new work which include value addition like customisation and personalisation.

Would you say that it offers value for money?
Yes. The uninterrupted print outputs has saved cost and time, which provide value for money.

Where there any difficulties experienced during the installation or after?
Nothing major. Minor niggles which is prevalent in every new installation. We did not face any big worries.

What about the pre and after-sale service?
Satisfactory. The team from Canon has been very supportive.

Under what circumstances would you buy another?
Whenever we need to expand capacity and digital print offering.
