Once forced into the business, Ganguly now tries to better print quality at N K Gossain with his emphasis on creating innovation each day. With his investment bankers’ hat on, he has already chalked an expansion plan, from a to-be-won Rs 25-crore!

When did you decide to join the business?
Two years ago. I was forced and dragged into this business by my dad.

Where do you learn the tricks of the trade? In an executive education programme or on the job?
Completely on the job. I am an investment banker by profession. I have seen my dad touch the paper and tell its gsm.

What is your greatest print / business achievement to date?
Every day is learning experience, every day a new milestone.

What technology has made the biggest difference to your business at NK Gossain? 
Our infrastructure and the Komori CMS management system have made a huge difference to our business. 

The most frequently used mantra in your organisation? Your motto in life?
Mantra: Get clients! Jokes apart, innovate and take new challenges
My motto: Just follow your dad’s path.

If you won Rs 25 crores what would you invest in? Why?
I would put it entirely into the business. Because this is what I want. I aspire to make the firm a big organisation.

My dad.

When you see a great piece of print created by your competitor, what is your reaction?
We try to understand the challenges in the job and if we can better it.

Surely been a banker.
