Yash Mehta appointed executive director at Oxford University Press India

On 8 August, Oxford University Press (OUP) officially announced Yash Mehta as the new executive director.

Mehta joins OUP from Macmillan Education India, where, he was responsible for driving Macmillan’s education business in India and the neighbouring markets of Sri Lanka, Bhutan, Middle-East, Nepal and Bangladesh. Prior to joining Macmillan, Yash was Vice President - Schools and Retail at Educomp Infrastructure & School Management Limited.

His experience is vital to fulfilling OUP’s ambitions in the K-12 segment, where we have strong print, digital and integrated offers.  Yash will report to Sivaramakrishnan V, managing director, OUP India and will be responsible for OUP India’s School Education Sales, Marketing and Editorial functions. Yash is a management graduate with two decades of professional experience and has spent time across sectors such as banking, telecom, real estate, financial services and education.  He has also been the Joint Secretary at the Association of Publishers in India (API) for two consecutive terms.
