After the major upsets which witnessed the likes of the defending champions Germany, European champions Portugal and other favourites like Spain and Argentina put to the sword by their opponents. Quarterfinals kick off with Akash Nagwani of Sudarshan Arts who is supporting France going head-to-head against Nasir Mulla of PrintWeek India who is in favour of Uruguay on 6 July 7.30pm IST.

It would be followed by the battle of the heavyweights where KVS Warrier of Saptagiri Packaging’s five-time champions Brazil will face Wasif Akhtar of KGN Xerox who is supporting high scoring Belgium for a spot in the semi-finals. On 8 July, Atul Raj Menon of Cognizant Technology Solutions would be up against Sujeet Mandvikar’s Sweden in the first match and would be followed by the spirited hosts Russia taking on Croatia.

While the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi, Toni Kroos and Andres Iniesta have all exited early, youngsters like Harry Kane, Romelu Lukaku and Kylian Mbappe haven’t failed to light up the tournament.
