Siegwerk to address Interpack with tailor-made ink solutions

At Interpack 2017’s supplier tradefair named Components, Siegwerk will demonstrate its tailor-made ink solutions and services that address current and future packaging trends at Booth E13 in Hall 18.

According to a Siegwerk press release, the company has already launched several innovative solutions that were developed to help customers keep track of future-focused industry trends. This includes LED UV flexo inks for food and pharmaceutical packaging, UV inkjet inks for labels, sustainable water-based inks for paper and board applications and a new ink range for gravure printing, based on a polyurethane binder system and free of polyvinyl chloride (PVC).

Besides this, the ink manufacturer is also looking into future management issues to enhance its future viability and ensure the company’s success going forward.

“We just established a new digital business unit to understand how customer proximity and big data can help us improve our services to customers, to enhance the work of our sales teams and to initiate new infrastructure projects designed to generate worldwide synergies,” said Herbert Forker, CEO of Siegwerk.

In the last one year, Siegwerk has completed a several strategic investments anticipating the growth in the packaging segment. This includes a laboratory dedicated to the development of customised inkjet solutions, a brand new Blending Center for the production of water-based inks and expanded its local presence in China by opening its new Packaging Ink Solution Center.

In line with the “Focused on your needs” motto, Siegwerk’s presence at Components 2017 will be a touch point for discussions and conversations about current packaging print requirements as well as future trends.
