The Gallus Innovation Days will be held from 26-28 June 2018, where over 1,000 visitors, including Indian label printers, are expected to participate, with around 15 print CEOs would be from India.

During the show, PrintWeek India and WhatPackaging?, plans to host a roundtable meeting with the group of Indian label manufacturers, to discuss trends, strategies, environmental issues and the way forward.

According to Samir Patkar, sales head – Asia Pacific for Gallus, the highlight of the event will be the unveiling of ‘Gallus Smartfire’, an affordable option for getting started with digital label printing. “The Gallus Smartfire is easy to operate, and apt for ever-changing short job runs.”

Patkar added, “At the Gallus Innovation Days we will present the features and capabilities of the surefire equipment with live demonstrations. The Gallus Label fire is going to make waves with a newly-added, fully-integrated screen printing unit that will allow the use of transparent substrates and set new quality benchmarks in label printing.”

The Labelmaster Advanced is expected to rev up interest with its new and automatic transverse and longitudinal register control, while the Gallus RCS 430, Gallus says will be equipped with flying imprint, and a UV booster for extremely quick UV ink drying. Gallus also stated that the ECS 340 can now manufacture multi-layer labels, with its web shifting feature. Heidelberg on its part will present the rotative die-cutter Speedmaster XL 106-DD, with claims of make-readies and production three-times faster than a similar flatbed die-cutter.

“So, it’s going to be quite a show,” said Patkar.

Two years ago, the bi-annual event which began in 2014, saw more than 800 visitors from all over the world travel to Switzerland to attend the Gallus Innovation Days. This year, Gallus hopes to continue this success story in an even bigger exhibition area, which includes the Gallus Print Media Centre Label.
