PrintPack 2019: SPGPrints appoints Vinsak as Indian representative for flexo pre-press portfolio

SPGPrints’ screen portfolio remains with Stovec Industries.

Vinsak’s managing director, Ranesh Bajaj, said, “The products that Vinsak will handle include Varilex flexo CTP and the DLE direct laser engraving range.”

Michael Tschol, sales manager graphics, SPGPrints Austria, was present during PrintPack India 2019 to formalise the partnership and meet clients at the show.

Speaking to PrintWeek India, Tschol said, “Vinsak, with its excellent distribution and service network in India, is an ideal partner for us. Having a strong service support system is very important point of differentiation on the market.”

SPGPrints Austria has one installation of its Varilex CTP machine in India at Ball Beverage Cans.

Talking about the potential of the Indian market, Tschol said, “When we look at the Indian market, there are many repro houses in India which are well-equipped with flexo CTP platemaking technologies. The next level for these firms would be to opt for direct laser engraving. At the moment, there are very few direct laser engraving machines in India. Also, as more and more CI flexo machines are coming to the market, the demand for direct laser engraving will bolster soon.”

SPGPrints’ range of direct laser engraving machines for flexo pre-press comprises of Helios for dry offset industry and Kronos for mid- and wide-web sleeves.
