“We started rubber roller plant for offset and graphic arts industry in 2016 and since then we are growing and catering to the printing and packaging industry. This year we are venturing into industrial rollers and sleeves manufacturing for flexo and rotogravure industry,” said Prabhat Kumar, product and marketing manager, Boettcher India.

According to Kumar, the rubber compound used by Boettcher is approved by GATA, the rubber compound and printing chemistry have food grade approval from ISEGA, plus all chemical products are approved by OEMs and Fogra.

Boettcher has developed new compound such as 377, 277 for HUV printing. One of the popular products is the new compound that reduces the requirement of isopropyl alcohol during printing by aiding more transfer of water.

Kumar added, “We have developed combi compound (47138), that is highly suitable for both conventional and UV printing for the high-speed machines. It has good elasticity and characteristics to withhold UV ink without causing swelling and shrinkage.”

“In the chemical division, we have come up with new Fogra-approved UV wash for UV offset. It is mild on the rubber and does not cause swelling and shrinkage on the roller. Our new development is a rubber cleaning paste Cleanfix UV that helps in the reduction of downtime during the changeover.”
