The German ABG label inspection system is backed by a Supersort 5003 carton inspection system by Pratham Technologies in collaboration with Vision Experts GmbH, Germany.

The recently commissioned ABG’s Flyetec 3010, an inspection, slitting and rewinding machine is the second Flyetec line which was installed in 2008.

“If you are a label printer, you must have an inspection system,” said Tejas Tanna, director, Printmann Group. “The investment in the ABG Flyetec system in eight years ago was an expensive one.
However, it made sure that every single label from Printmann’s factory was defect-free,” he added.

“No label from our factory is dispatched without passing through the Flyetec. To avoid a bottleneck, an additional Flyetech was the logical choice,” said, Ankit Tanna, director, Printmann Group.

The Flyetec 3010 inspectswith a 4K camera, rewinds, and slit labels and can detect features like blurred images, register variations, spots, missing colour, text or missing label. The machine can accommodate web widths of 330mm and 410mm. The inspection is by a Flyevision inspection system.

The Supersort 5003 from Pratham brings automation to carton sorting and is equipped with three cameras: front , back and angular. It checks spots, missing text, cut text, foil stamping, braille text, delta-e value of the pantone, etc.
