Print Hub installs Konica Minolta AccurioPress C6085

The 2011-founded company specialises in commercial digital printing, photo album printing along with providing design services.

"We took the time and effort to check all the competitors in the segment before narrowing down on the C6085 which replaces our Nexpress," said Sathiya Ramanan R, founding partner of Print Hub.

This is the company's third Konica Minolta press with 1060 and 70hc being the other two machines. A raft of finishing equipment like Itoh cutting machine, Macrobond laminator, Digi laser-laser cutting machine etc., also part of the setup.

"The consistency in colour reproduction combined with the ability to print in higher grammage of up to 400 gsm are some of the features which made us choose this press," said Ramanan.

The 6085 can print sizes from 13x19 inches to 13x51 inches up to maximum speed of 85 ppm. "We have noticed a significant improvement in our productivity since replacing the press. For example, the time taken for the first copy from the C6085 is at max 10 seconds whereas we had to wait a couple of minutes in our Nexpress," said Ramanan
"Power consumption is considerably lesser and we have crucial improvement in the cost per copy too," he added.

The company also hopes to take advantage of the press's banner printing capability and explore business opportunities on those lines.

"With our long-standing relationship with the customer, our analysis and recommendation of the C6085 for their requirement was readily accepted and are more than happy with the decision," said SR Vasudevan of Konica Minolta India who was recently promoted as deputy general manager-sales.
