In May 2016, at Drupa, Pragati booked its first SBL 1050 hot foil stamping machine. The packaging firm made its second investment in SBL at PrintPack India in February earlier this year when it bought SBL die-cutting machine with stripping capability.

Speaking to PrintWeek India, Muralidhar Nalli, managing director, Techno Graphic Services (TGS), which represents SBL in India, said, “This is Pragati’s second SBL die-cutter. It has stripping facility and comes with additional features like 300mm elevated base, A-flute device, single-sheet detector. The machine will be commissioned in January 2018.”

Besides the three machines at Pragati, TGS has installed a SBL folder-gluer with four and six corners attachment and bag making capability at Hyderabad’s Caxton Printers, a SBL die-cutter at Kolhapur’s Premier Printers.

SBL started selling packaging finishing equipment under its brand name after the 10-year long cooperation with Heidelberg ended in 2015.

Techno Graphic Services represents five Taiwanese post-press machine manufacturers in India – SBL Group, Golden Tec Machinery, Datien Industrial Company, Wen Chyuan and Fulontek Enterprises. The company will exhibit its bouquet of Taiwanese post-press offerings at Pamex 2018 (Hall 1/Stall J70).
