Monotech increase Scodix tally to 25

Meanwhile, the Israeli digital enhancement specialists have announced the launch of its "highly disruptive" Scodix E106 enhancement press for the folding carton market.

Features include Scodix Sense, Scodix Spot, Scodix Braille, Scodix Digital Embossing, Scodix Variable Data finishes and Scodix Foil all in a single device. The foil system was developed by Compact Foilers, meanwhile Scodix partnered with Mabeg Systems to produce the Scodix E106 paper handling system.
 
“Converters investing in the Scodix E106 will be able to offer shorter run lengths profitably, new products enter markets and fundamentally, clinch a competitive edge in tough to the market conditions with value-added services that truly empower brands,” he added.
 
The E106 can handle substrates from paperboard to plastic, metalised boards, as well as offset, digital prints, water-based coatings and a wide range of laminated products.
 
Marketing director Lynn Kolevsohn said the E106 will start beta testing after the show and commercial deliveries will start in 2017.
 
The company debuted in 2012 Drupa with one platform and 12 installations worldwide has over 200 installations across the world and has three platforms along with the announcement of the folding-carton market.
 
In India, Scodix has created a huge impact in the photo market segment with South India having the maximum installations.
