“We have been pretty successful with our products,” said TP Jain, managing director at Monotech. “We have over 70 JetSci machine operating. In Scodix, we have more than 40 installations, some of which are already running while others are on the way to the shopfloors. While most have been in the photo segment, we have been able to push this very impressive kit in the packaging segment as well.”

Monotech’s agency products include Focus and Labelman in the label segment and Scodix and Highcon in the packaging segment.

The company has installed the first Focus at Mumbai’s Glamod Techno Labels. While speaking to PrintWeek India during Labelexpo, Jain indicated that the first installation of Highcon may happen soon.

Meanwhile, in addition to the JetSci, Monotech has launched three new Made in India products – Colornovo, a Made in India digital label press; VSRI, an inkjet press for variable data printing; and a personalisation solution for cards.

Holding centre stage at the stand is Colornovo, Monotech’s Made in India digital label press. The 4.5-inch UV LED capable kit is a four-colour press with an additional ink option for white, spot, or security. It can be integrated with finishing solutions like die-cutting, foiling, etc. “Going ahead, the plan is to make it a full-fledged digital label press,” said Jain.

Monotech also has plans of mounting the Colornovo on flexo presses, giving labellers an option of a combination press. “It will be a cost-effective solution. All you need is a transport system to mount it, giving the existing flexo players digital capability,” Jain explained.

Jain informed that it has added a new track and trace feature to the JetSci series of printer, which is on display at the Monotech stand.
