Labelexpo 2018: Bobst to demonstrate M5 flexo label press
At the Labelexpo India 2018, Bobst will showcase live demonstrations of M5 inline UV flexo press.
It is an inline UV flexo and multi-process production line that can print and convert in a single pass a variety of substrates, including paper and filmic self-adhesive stock, glossy paper from 60 to 100gsm, light cardboard up to 300gsm, PVC, BOPP, PET, PA unsupported films from 12 microns, alu-foil from 20 microns, and lamitube.

According to Bobst, the M5 is a flexible production tool which can be configured for label, flexible packaging and folding carton production.
In India, there are more than twenty installations of Bobst inline narrow and mid-web flexo and multi-process printing and converting machines, eight of which are M5 lines.
The machine has a fully integrated automation, the Bobst Digital Automation concept. It includes technologies such as DigitalFlexo for the automatic control of the printing pressure and register; DigiGap for the automatic control of the die-cutting pressure with substrate thickness reading, and ExcelPrint for automatic exchange of flexo print cylinders.
The M5 at the show has a configuration which includes several technologies of the Digital Automation program and will also run conforming to the REVO seven-colour extended colour gamut printing.
According to Bobst, the machine demonstrations of both label and flexible packaging applications will make printers and converters discover the extent of Bobst expertise in providing advanced and flexible production tools that can handle different job applications and run lengths in the most profitable way, delivering very fast turnaround and superior print and converting quality. Machine demonstrations will be run daily at 11, 12 noon, 2 pm, 3 pm and 4 pm.
