"Since we are new to digital segment, we tested and saw digital engines of almost all the top players and finally decided to go with the 6100, due to its technical competitiveness, edge over rivals in replication near offset quality prints with higher turnaround," said Sateesh Khanna, partner at JB Khanna Fine Arts, who is at the forefront of the company's digital initiative.

The 2013-founded company is an offshoot of 61-year old JB Khanna and Company who are pioneers in introducing laminated posters in India. "We have been running offset presses for years for our jobs but the demand for short-run printing has been on the rise recently and this investment is to fulfill that demand," said Khanna.

The C6100 runs at maximum speeds of up to 100ppm and can handle maximum substrate weight of 400gsm. The press can print sizes from 13x19 inches to 13x51 inches simplex, and up to 13x30 inches duplex prints. "We like the fact that the press is capable of industry's best duty cycles without compromising on the colour reproduction. We tested several of our bulk jobs in a single shift and press handled them with ease," said Khanna.
